Writer for the Stage and Screen
Susan Burns is a writer and actor living in New York City. Her work has been produced in New York at the People’s Improv Theatre, Upright Citizens Brigade, Creek and the Cave, Q.E.D, 3V Theatre, Riant Theatre, Richmond Shepard Theatre and The Looking Glass, and in Los Angeles at Sacred Fools Theatre and the American Renegade. Her short films have screened at the Seattle International Film Festival. Susan performs regularly with her sketch comedy group, Sunday School Dropouts. Susan grew up in Seattle, Washington, and holds a BA in Theatre from Occidental College in Los Angeles. Susan owns a stuffed piranha and plays an inappropriate amount of soccer.

Susan was an artist in residence December 2018 to January 2019 at Residencia Corazón in La Plata, Argentina. She completed a translation of her full-length play, "Servant's Sin/El Pecado del Prisionero" and wrote several short stories.
